Miss Scoppettone is one of my favorite inspirations in the art world. Never have I met someone whose beauty, intelligence and determination to succeed align perfectly to create such a remarkable being. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she also teaches art history and has personally enlightened my whole mind in the sense of learning about art. Her style of photography ranges from editorial fashion to soul catching portraits.
When Dina allowed me to include her in my project, I knew immediately that I wanted to do an acrylic painting of one of her self portraits. She does such a beautiful job at manipulating her body with the right amount of light as well as creating a composition that reads sensual and interesting. I can only hope that my rendition of the secret picture I have chosen to paint from turns out as radiant as the photo.
